I’ve been editing since 2010. I spend the majority of my time doing copyediting and indexing for academic nonfiction, working both with academic presses and with authors directly. I also copyedit corporate materials for businesses and nonprofits.
Areas where I have particular experience are Eastern Orthodoxy, biblical studies, the Catholic Church and Catholic theology/spirituality, and Russian/Slavic history. I have an MA in theology, which comes in handy if we’re working with the likes of patristic quotes or biblical apocrypha!
I also have particular experience in editing for non-native English authors. Many ESL authors I’ve worked have a marvelous command of language, and it’s a delight for me to help smooth away the occasional stylistic incongruity and present their scholarship with all its nuance and clarity.
I’m based in St. Paul, Minnesota. Off the clock, I dabble in theater, Civil War reenacting, and waging an ongoing war with the urban squirrels for gardening space on my porch.
